Futura reissue model, the prototype of Explorer
The Futura was the prototype of the Explorer, which was patented in 1957, and about 4-5 prototypes were made by the beginning of 1958, after which it was released as the Explorer. The body shape is the same as that of the Explorer, but the head is called a split head, which is very unique. The models produced were made in both mahogany and Korina, and this 2003 reissue model follows the model using mahogany.
The neck is thicker and grippy, and the body is made of one-piece larger mahogany, giving the player more than enough warmth and stickiness in the midrange of the mahogany sound. The pickups are equipped with 57 Classics, and although the output is low, the sound feels powerful enough and is easy to nuance. In fact, the body is well-balanced whether standing or sitting, making it a practical model despite its flashy appearance. This is a high quality model that is made by a custom store, and the quality of the materials and cost-neutral construction is reflected in the sound. It is a guitar that you will like even more when you play it, saying, "I was drawn to this guitar by its looks, but it actually sounds great.
