1982 SG1000 in Metallic Blue produced in December and December in a limited edition of 460 !
Metalic Blue was the first limited color of the SG1000 to come out, and at the time of its release, it excited Masayoshi Takanaka's fans because of its similarity to the Takanaka Blue SG2000.
The SG1000 was first released in 1976, and while the SG2000 had a through-neck construction, the SG1000 has a set-neck construction.
The specifications of SG1000 were changed in 1986, and this model was made in 1982, so it is an early model.
The early model had a 3-piece maple/mahogany neck and OPG-1 pickups.
It is characterized by a mellower and warmer sound than the later model.
The SG1000 is the first in the SG series to feature a direct circuit and bi-sound.
Direct Circuit is a feature that makes the sound signal completely independent of ground when the Volume and Tone are set to full 10.
This prevents high frequency components from falling to ground, resulting in a brighter sound.
The Tone pot is set to Push/Push for the By Sound, which allows for coil tapping.
The SG1000 is the ''standard model'' of the SG series, which is the successor to the SG2000.
It is one of the most important vintage Japanese guitars!
