YAMAHA's original model SG1000!

Around 1965, the development of Yamaha's electric guitars began. The late Genichi Kawakami, the president of Yamaha at that time, ordered the company to produce all original electric guitars.
The YAMAHA SG was developed in this way.

The SG1000 was released in 1976 and is still one of the most popular SG models.
The SG1000 features the Bi-Sound system, which allows a single sound to be obtained by coil-tapping the humbucking pickups, and the Direct Circuit, which prevents the high frequencies of the sound itself from being lost to the ground.
The sound has a very warm and full low midrange. When switched to bi-sound, the full low mid gives a thicker sound like a P-90.

SG1000, the ''standard model'' of the SG, is the successor to the SG2000, and cannot be missed when talking about Japanese vintage guitars!
