The L Four Heavenly Kings created by Terry Nakamoto, one of Japan's leading guitar designers.
The L-53 is one of the most gorgeous guitars among them.
The sparkling jewel-like avalon decoration is inlaid in a design resembling a sacred rope only on the early model.
It is no exaggeration to say that this is a miraculous model born of YAMAHA's craftsmanship and Terry Nakamoto's originality.
The model introduced here is an early model "L-53" made in 1978.
Another difference between the early and late models is the wood used for the center of the body back, which is Ebony in the early model and Hakaranda in the late model.
We have experience in handling both early and late models, but the sound of the early model is tighter and has more components in the high frequency range thanks to the ebony material, giving it a high-end impression, and honestly speaking, we can't say whether it is superior or inferior.
The sound of a "good guitar" made of hakaranda wood, with a popping attack, cannot be experienced with ordinary rosewood guitars.
The neck is V-shaped with a nut width of 44mm, so it does not feel so wide.
It looks fancy and is a great work of art, but the sound is also exceptional.
It is definitely one that will enrich the music life of anyone who has it in their hands.

- One crack repair on the top center of the body
- Nut/saddle replaced at our store (cow bone)
