Very cool vintage J-45 with red and yellow contrast
Gibson / 1963 J-45 Cherry Sunburst
Vintage J-45s come in a variety of sunburst colors on the body top, which is one of the fun aspects of choosing one.
In early '60, the body top outer edge is darker and from around '64, the reddish color fades and becomes orangey.
The one we have just received was made in 1963, which is right in between the two.
The reddish color around the top of the body is still very cool.
In the 1990s, Heritage Cherry Sunburst was introduced on the J-45, Les Paul, Les Paul Custom, and other models, and it has an image similar to that of the J-45.
The pickguard is also a thin large size red tortoiseshell pattern, which matches the color of the body top perfectly.
The following year, the pickguard will be changed to a thicker pickguard, so you will not have a rare chance to see this texture/specification.
Neck is 43mm nut width with regular grip.
Head angle is 17 degrees.
The bridge has been changed from rosewood to ebony.
The saddle has also been changed from adjustable to straight.
You can enjoy a rich and massive tone with mid-bass.
