Gibson / 1963 Hummingbird Cherry Sunburst
Vintage sound with a sense of openness created by the plastic bridge/17 degree head and regular neck.
Spruce body top.
Cherry sunburst has faded and turned orange in color.
This natural aging can only be achieved with vintage guitars.
Pickguard is single tone design.
Mahogany is used for the body side backs, and the reddish color of the paint remains quite vivid.
The fingerboard is made of Hakaranda, which has a sweet, slightly reddish look, and is a good quality wood, as if to say that this is a vintage.
The pegs have been replaced with recent Cruson Deluxe tuners, which work very smoothly.
The bridge has been repositioned and there is a crack repair on the upper first string side of the soundhole, but there are no problems in playing.
Plastic bridge pieces are rare to find as the bridge itself is often replaced.
The open tone is a result of this specification, and we hope you will give it a try.
