This instrument combines the characteristics of Yamaha's standard jazz trombone models, the "897Z" and "891Z," into a hybrid specification.It combines the light, responsive feel and crisp articulation of the 897Z's 7.5-inch bell with a slightly more compact bore size of 12.70mm, inspired by the 12.90mm single-bore slide (parallel bore) used in the 891Z. Furthermore, this is a custom model featuring a gold brass bell, available only through special order.
