Founded in 1996 in the USA by Hiro Miura, the Xotic brand has earned strong support from numerous professional musicians through its precision custom Bass.

The XJ series is designed in Xotic's Los Angeles workshop and manufactured in Japan.
This unit features the old logo and a single-digit serial number, likely one of the earliest models in the series.

It delivers a traditional JB sound with a clear mid-high range and distinct attack.
The EQ offers a gentle response yet a wide adjustable range, enabling sound shaping beyond fine-tuning—from flat to punchy.

In addition to its natural JB sound, the EQ significantly boosts the low-B string's bass, making it ideal for players who value traditional JB character while seeking a low end with presence in modern ensembles.
