George Lowden, who started making guitars as a boy and is still active as a handcrafted guitar maker, started Lowden to pursue and realize his ideas.
Lowden's elegant design, which can be described as traditional European craftsmanship, and its clear, well-balanced, original, and appealing sound are now highly acclaimed around the world.
The Lowden company itself ceased to exist when George Lowden decided to become an independent guitar maker, but he continues to produce high-quality guitars under his own name, "Lowden.
The guitar introduced here is the "WL-22 MA/RC" from the WL series, which is also known for its use by Ed Sheeran.
Lowden's guitars have one thing in common: even with their compact body size, they offer sound pressure and quality comparable to or better than dreadnoughts.
The WL is the smallest body size in Lowden's lineup, the size of a mini guitar.
However, it is very surprising to hear the volume and clean, clear sound that is unimaginable from this body size.
The preconceived notion of cedar wood is that it is warm and tends to have a retreating sound, but this guitar destroys that preconceived notion.
The bracing is very thin, and the 5-piece neck construction is a perfect example of how this sound is achieved.
Lowden always produces guitars that exceed standards, and this one is no exception.

[Condition/Modifications]
- There are some play marks, but no cracks or crack repairs.
- The neck and wood have been thoroughly inspected by an acoustic guitar specialist and no repairs are needed.
- The neck is straight and there are no chattering or sound clogging issues of any kind.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.1mm on the 6th string side, 1.6mm on the 1st string side.
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 3.5mm-3.0mm
- There was a chip on the knob of the 2nd string peg, so it has been partially shaved and smoothed.

- Includes a warranty of adjustment support by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars with a track record of repair/adjustment of approximately 2,000 guitars per year.
