Career Opportunities
Your job is a very big event that affects your life, and we appreciate that you are interested in working at a music store. However, we understand that you have many concerns and worries about your decision to turn your love into a job.
I still vividly remember how anxious I was when I was thinking about changing jobs at a music store.
I want to work in a music store. But many people have questions about what kind of work I actually do, so I'd like to share thisTCGAKKII would like to introduce an image of what it is like to work for the group.
To give you a brief description of my job, my main duties are customer service and mail order support for the purchase and sale of musical instruments, and I also take pictures of products, post them on the web, and update social networking services.
Our job is to help customers improve their musical life through buying and selling musical instruments.
Do you have a quota?
I have an image that music stores have some kind of sales quota, and if they don't meet it, the employees are forced to buy products or take a pay cut (self-destructive sales)...
Surprisingly, many people seem to think so. In fact, I was anxious when I changed jobs.
But don't worry,TCGAKKIThe Group is not like that.
Of course, as a company, we must set goals and work hard to achieve them, but we do not pressure our employees into self-destructive sales efforts in order to achieve them.
I was concerned that if I made it my job again, I would grow to dislike musical instruments. I was concerned that if I made it my job, I would grow to dislike the instrument, but it turned out to be an unnecessary worry.
I felt that the seniors really like musical instruments because they spend all their time talking about them outside of work, and the number of instruments in my room is steadily increasing.
Does a music store require a lot of overtime work?
I think people have an image that working at a music store means few days off and a lot of overtime.
In fact, I have heard from an acquaintance who works at a music store that overtime work is the norm, that it is difficult to get time off, and that they have to work every day during the year-end and New Year's holidays for the first sale of the year.
That is what we are doing.TCGAKKIWe do not work overtime at all.
We place great importance on "getting the job done on time," and all staff members make their daily arrangements with the assumption that they will leave the office at 8:20 p.m., the working hour.
There are some cases where overtime is required, such as events or photo shoots that cannot be handled until after hours, but these are rare. So, if you stay overtime without permission, you will be scolded by your seniors and told to "go home early! If you stay overtime without permission, you will be scolded by your seniors.
We have a shift schedule that allows two days off per week on Wednesdays, which are our regular holidays, and the days of the week allocated to each staff member. It is probably unusual for a music store to be closed during the year-end and New Year holidays.
I am also very happy to be able to go to Hatsumode with my family every New Year's, and each staff member is able to cherish his or her private time very much.
Is it necessary to have knowledge and experience to be hired?
I think many people worry that if they don't have professional knowledge or experience with musical instruments, they won't be hired in the first place. However, what we are looking for is not knowledge or experience, but rather the ability to take the job seriously and deal with it flexibly as a team.
Knowledge is necessary, but time will tell. Our senior staff will teach you from the beginning, and we have a full training system for customer service, so please don't worry. In fact, I joined the company with no experience and learned from there.
Of course, experienced workers are also welcome. If you are currently working for another company in the same industry and are thinking about changing jobs, please feel free to contact us. You will be surprised at how different it is when you change companies.
