This model was originally released in 2003 as a square-shoulder line. The Songbird Deluxe, a higher-end model, features a crown inlay made of mother-of-pearl, double parallelogram inlays, and a pickguard that is slightly smaller than the Hummingbird's. And now in stock is a 2011 "Songwriter Deluxe Custom"! As the name "Custom" implies, this model has been finished in a more glamorous and high-end design. The differences from the regular model are the custom inlays on the fingerboard, the flame maple binding, and the down belly style bridge shape instead of mustache. In addition, a FISHMAN Ellipse Aura pickup/preamp is used.
The bright, fresh, and elegant sound of the rosewood body allows you to enjoy a different sound from the Hummingbird, J-45, and other royalty models. It is a nuance as if the sound of a Martin D-41 is added to Hummingbird and J-45.
The Avalon rosette inlays around the soundhole are also beautiful and elegant. The unique and gorgeous appearance is sure to catch the attention of your audience.
