Made by Mr. Sakae Ishii, a master craftsman in Nagano Prefecture
He has been involved in the production of "Chai Kobo" for about 10 years since 1972, and started his own studio in 1984.
Mr. Ishii makes everything from the tools he uses to bend boards to the molds he uses to make his guitars, and he does so with extraordinary dedication and passion.
The model introduced here is the No. 40, which is smaller in size than the regular classic.
The scale is 550mm, so it can be tuned for Lequinto (A,D,G,C,E,A), Alto (B,E,A,D,F♯The potential is demonstrated in alto (B,E,A,D,F,F) and alto (B,E,A,D,F,C,E,B).
Cedar top and rosewood sides/back.
The guitar is designed to produce high notes easily, but the grain is rounded and has a beautiful nylon string sound with warmth.
