The MJ2-STD model inherits the traditional JB style while being uniquely brushed up by Momose.
Ash body, slab rosewood fingerboard wood materials.
At first glance, the body shape appears to be a typical JB style, but the cutaway on the 1st string side is larger than usual, improving playability in the higher positions.
In addition, the sides of the fingerboard are bound with the same rosewood as the fingerboard material, which prevents burrs on the frets and supports smooth fingering.
While it has a traditional look, it is designed with playability and ease of maintenance in mind, with features such as a recessed joint plate and rod adjustment on the head.
What is impressive is that the balance from the 1st to 4th strings is very good, with no particular area standing out in the low to high ranges.
While you can feel the straight sound projection and tightness of ash, the slab rosewood fingerboard also gives it a full, sticky sound.
This is an excellent guitar that has been brushed up in both playability and sound with a vintage style!
