Explanation
The ES-175 has been talked about as much as its legendary performances. Yet, when it comes to actually getting your hands on one, it's not uncommon to feel it "lacks punch," "has questionable condition," or "doesn't feel vintage enough."
Precisely because the ES-175 is a legendary instrument, many exist, making it difficult to find a truly exceptional example. Models from the late 60s, in particular, often lack balance between condition and sound; choosing poorly can leave you with a guitar whose reputation precedes its actual quality.
This 1968 ES-175D is a player's condition gem that dispels those concerns. Its easy-to-hold 16-inch wide full-depth body produces deep resonance, complemented by a numbered PAF pickup. It delivers a beautiful, transparent natural tone, and when amplified, it resonates with a convincing tone that combines richness and focus.Featuring a one-piece mahogany neck, it has some replaced parts but remains an exceptionally well-preserved vintage guitar. Its blonde finish adds visual appeal, perfectly complementing its sonic persuasiveness.
This is a vintage sound that is deep, rich, and full of character – far beyond just a standard jazz guitar. Players who truly know the ES-175 will recognize the distinct difference this particular instrument possesses.
Among countless ES-175s, this 1968 ES-175D stands apart with its distinct sonic character. Experience firsthand why masters cherished it—a true masterpiece for today's playing environment.
