Founded in 1935, "Yairi Musical Instrument Manufacturing" is a renowned Japanese acoustic guitar brand. To this day, it remains committed to handcrafted production by a select team of master artisans in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture.

Among their models, the DY-CUSTOM is a truly accomplished instrument. It takes Yairi's standard D-28 style and achieves a perfect balance of "classic heritage" and "domestic evolution" in every aspect: materials, design, and sound.

This instrument was crafted in 2013. Featuring a spruce top, rosewood sides and back, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge—a classic configuration—it also boasts an abalone-inlaid rosette that subtly enhances its premium feel.
The neck sports a slightly relaxed V-shape, making it comfortable to hold even for those who find Martin's signature V-neck challenging.

But what truly stands out is the sound.
Unlike many Japanese-made acoustics where the high end can be overly prominent, this guitar delivers a beautifully balanced, soft output across the low, mid, and high frequencies.
