A versatile 5-string PB for all-around performance!

Founded in 1996 in the USA by Hiro Miura, the Xotic brand has earned high praise from numerous professional musicians through its precision custom Bass.

The XP series is designed in Xotic's Los Angeles workshop and manufactured in Japan.
This particular instrument features the old logo and is believed to be an early model from the 30s serial number range.

While the XP series centers on a Fender-like traditional sound, its signature is a flat, clean tone rather than a punchy, gritty sound.
The EQ response is gentle, avoiding the harsh, glaring character often found in modern Basss. It achieves a clean sound firmly within its "traditional" character.
Compared to a Jazz Bass, it has a fuller sound. While retaining the Precision Bass's characteristic rich low end, especially on the low B string, it lacks any harshness. It's a highly versatile instrument that, in a good way, makes you think, "Is this really a P-Bass?"
