The last period of square neck, superb sounding D-45 with a sense of violence.
Martin / 1984 D-45
1984 is the year when the truss rod mechanism of Martin shifted from square rod to adjustable rod.
This time, we have an SQ neck spec. The body top has been moderately tinted and scratched by picking, and has a wonderful appearance that is both elegant and dignified.
The body top is made of Sitka spruce, the side backs of Indian rosewood, and the fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony. Even at a glance, you can feel that higher-grade woods are used compared to the standard models of the time. The headstock is nice and shining with the original Martin logoed Schaller pegs. The pickguard has been replaced.
Of course, the sound is of the highest quality. The shiny and shimmering high frequency that occurs at the moment of the rise of the sound at the moment of one stroke. The total sound you feel from the abundant overtones expands as if a spatial effector were applied, even when the sound is raw, and the entire space around you is filled with the sound of the D-45. When the sound is this expansive, the low frequency range is usually blurred, but this particular model does not give off that feeling at all, and it is not a hard sound. It is a sound that can only be experienced with a "Martin D-45. The sound is characterized by a cohesive image from the 80's, but there are some violent nuances like glass breaking, and you can enjoy a wonderful tone that is as good as that of the 70's.
This is an irreplaceable piece that will let you experience the "best.
