Rare model that was the first to feature the controls used on Eric Clapton models
Around 1982, Fender, which had been suffering from a difficult situation, made a major overhaul of its lineup and introduced the Standard, Elite, and Vintage models under the concept of "Standard," "Elite," and "Vintage. This 1983 Elite Stratocaster model featured hum canceling pickups, TBX control, and mid boost. The idea of installing dummy pickups to get the hum-canceling effect is directly applied to the noiseless pickups. Mid-boost was used in the Eric Clapton model and is still in use today. The controls that were devised in pursuit of all possibilities have remained Fender's cornerstone to this day. The Elite series was short-lived (the Elite name was recently released as the successor to the Deluxe, but it is no longer on the market). ) Although many series were born after that, this model is indispensable in the story of Fender Stratocaster.
The neck is a slim V-shape neck with almost no taper, the truss rod is adjusted from the head side, which allows for relatively easy neck adjustment, the fingerboard radius is 250R, which is flatter than the usual vintage type, and it can be used for lower string heights. Medium jumbo frets are used for high playing performance. The bridge is equipped with a free-flight tremolo, which is almost never seen on early Standard and Elite models, and it also features very smooth arming play. This is a Stratocaster with a lot of history and charm that Stratocaster lovers will love, and it can be used even today.
