Martin / 1976 D-76
July 1976 marked the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
The D-76 was produced in a limited run of 1976 units to commemorate this bicentennial year. While based on the D-35 model, it features distinctive American touches throughout.
First, the American eagle inlay on the headstock, a symbol of the United States, stands out.

Additionally, the 13 star inlays on the fingerboard represent the 13 original states, familiar from the stripes of the American flag.

The Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides/back (the back is 3-piece) indicate this is a D-35 produced for the United States.
The herringbone rosette is a notable difference.

The wood used in the D-76, being a commemorative model, features high-grade materials.
This likely contributes to its popular points: the D-76's characteristic powerful sound and well-balanced, expansive overtones.
We invite you to experience the D-76, whose appeal lies not only in its looks but also in its sound.
