Martin / 1976 D-76
July 1976 marked the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
The D-76 was produced in a limited run of 1976 units to commemorate this bicentennial year. While based on the D-35 model, it incorporates uniquely American specifications throughout.

First, the American eagle inlay on the headstock, a symbol of the United States, stands out.

Additionally, the 13 star inlays on the fingerboard represent the 13 original states, familiar from the stripes of the American flag.

The Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides/back (the back is three-piece) indicate this is a D-35 produced in the United States.

The herringbone rosette is a notable difference.

The wood used in the D-76, being a commemorative model, is of a high grade.
This likely contributes to the D-76's popular points: its characteristic powerful sound and well-balanced, expansive overtones.
We invite you to experience the D-76, which is as captivating in appearance as it is in sound.
