Vintage J-160E in a rare shade of faded cherry sunburst.
Gibson / 1966 J-160E
The J-160E is so famous for being the favorite guitar of George Harrison and John Lennon of the Beatles.
This time we have a 1966 J-160E in stock.
The color is different from the familiar black-based sunburst color, and is characterized by a shade close to the natural color.
It is reminiscent of John's second J-160E with the paint stripped off.
Originally a cherry sunburst, the paint has faded with age, producing a stunning candy color.
It may be said to have a face typical of 1966.
The number of shipments of this model in 1966 was very few, 356 pieces compared to 3251 pieces of J-45, and it is rare to find one in circulation in the present day.
The specifications of this period include laminated spruce top, mahogany side backs, rosewood bridge with unglazed ceramic saddle, double rosette ring, and 2-cob double-line Cruson Deluxe pegs.
The head angle is 14 degrees and the nut width is 39.5 mm with a narrow neck.
There are two output jack marks on the body side,
You can feel that the instrument has been well used from these places.
Vintage sound is very attractive.
It is a must-have for those who want to play acoustic guitars with a crisp and clear sound.
