Guild / 1963 F-20
Surprisingly high sound pressure for a small parlor size.
It is not just a loud sound, but an American sound unique to Guild with a thick core, roughness, and even a hint of earthiness.
It is neither the clear, orthodox beauty of a Martin nor the glossy rampage of a Gibson.
Guild has always been "in between" and yet has always maintained a position that belongs nowhere else.
This F-20 also has its identity firmly in its small body.
It is a guitar that is a choice for those who play it.
Or rather, it is a guitar that demands to be played the way you play it.
If you play it hard, it will return strongly; if you touch it lightly, it will return with a pure sound.
This fidelity is sometimes demanding on the player, but the pleasure when the player responds is irreplaceable.
The body may be small, but the moment it is connected to the player's will, it shows an overwhelming presence.
If you are attracted to this F-20, you are probably looking for "the next one.
Not just a collector, but someone who has already experienced D-size and OM-size masterpieces and knows what feels right in his or her hands.
Then, for those who feel that they would like to be chosen for a guitar this time.
We believe that the F-20 is one that will resonate strongly with such people.
It lets you experience in a single note the strangeness of its control, the depth of its touch, and its power that you would not expect from such a small instrument.
There are not many guitars that come face to face with the player like this.
