This particular instrument is a rare 1962 model finished in Cherry Sunburst.
ーX-Bracing
This small-body guitar features a spruce top finished in a vibrant Cherry Sunburst.
While the LG-1 uses ladder bracing, the LG-2 employs X-bracing.
This results in a pleasantly bright and expansive tone.
Beyond the X-bracing, specimens retaining the reddish Cherry color are exceptionally rare.
A large, brown-toned pickguard is used.
Mahogany is used for the sides and back.
This adds a crisp, tight tone.
The fingerboard is crafted from rosewood.
It features the beautiful grain patterns characteristic of rosewood.
The neck is made of mahogany and features a thinner neck profile.
The rosewood upper bout bridge features a glossy ceramic adjustable saddle.
The headstock features a gold Gibson silk-screen logo, and the bell-shaped truss rod cover is one-piece.
It is equipped with KLUSON DEKUXE single-line triple-peg tuning machines, though these have been replaced.
Considering that single-line triple-pegs were still common at this time, efforts were made to preserve the original specifications as much as possible.
The LG-2, with its X-bracing and small body, is highly popular and a rare find on the market.
The cherry sunburst finish, retaining its reddish hue, is especially valuable.

- Crack repair along the side of the pickguard below the soundhole.
