Gibson / L1960s LG-0
The LG-0 is an all-mahogany model featuring a small body with ladder bracing, similar to the LG-1, and a mahogany top.
Additionally, it features an adjustable saddle, delivering a crisp yet clean tone.
It's the perfect instrument for blues.
- All-Mahogany Small Body
The LG-0 is the only model in the LG series featuring a mahogany top.
While utilizing ladder bracing, its distinct look and tone set it apart from the LG-1, showcasing its unique charm.
This instrument uniquely allows you to feel the warmth of the wood while playing.
Its well-worn appearance, honed through extensive use, is a defining characteristic of this model.

Mahogany is used for the sides and back, matching the top. While the back shows some finish wear, there are no cracks or other issues in the wood itself, ensuring it remains fully playable.

The pickguard is the signature thick, small LG-0 pickguard, secured by three screws.

The fingerboard is rosewood. Due to the narrow neck specification, the nut width is approximately 39.5mm.

The neck is made of mahogany, with a comfortable grip thanks to its moderate thickness, perfectly matched to the narrow neck design.

The upper belly bridge has been replaced from rosewood to cocobolo wood.
It features a reddish-brown hue and a curly grain pattern reminiscent of rosewood.
The adjustable saddle material has also been unified to cocobolo wood.
It produces a light, well-defined sound.

The headstock features a simple specification with only Gibson's silk-screen logo, a design characteristic of the L and B series.
A one-piece bell-shaped truss rod cover is employed.

KLUSON DELUXE triple-lock tuning machines are fitted, though these have been replaced from the original pegs.

Beyond the changes of age, its dignified presence, likely honed through years of playing, is a unique charm of this instrument.
The tone, defying the notion that ladder braces don't resonate, is a flavor only this particular guitar can deliver.
It's appealing to be able to acquire a vintage guitar at a reasonable price point.
