One of a kind to experience the heft of an early 50's vintage super jumbo.
Gibson / 1952 J-200
A '52 J-200 with the character of a guitar that must have been played for many years.
The body finish has been aged to a more subdued appearance, and the playing scars add to its vintage charm.
The black paint on the rim side of the top of the body is still there, which makes it look "cool".
The lower part of the first string side of the body top has been covered with spruce wood, which is different from the original, as if it had been severely damaged in the past.
The back of the body is slightly reddish, and the flaming is excellent. The body sides also have flaming running along the sides, and while there are many solid pieces, this one has a special feel that will satisfy your desire to own one.
The sound has a wide range and luster, and resonates richly from bass to treble.
The sound has a wide range and luster, and is rich from the bass to the treble.
This is a gem that has been well maintained and still sounds great today.
