Morris / S-100Y
Morris' S series designed for fingerstyle.
This series is a symbol of the fingerpicking scene and has grown to the point where it can be said to be a pillar of the brand.
Introducing the S-100Y, a model characterized by its woody design.
The head logo, rosette, body binding, heel cap, and backstrip are all made of wood.
The warmth of the woody design and texture is such that you will feel that it plays well even before you play it.
The body is all veneer specification with a combination of spruce and rosewood woods.
The fingerboard is made of ebony with tight grain.
The balance between the shimmering high notes and the bass that firmly supports them is exquisite.
The neck is a straight, ultra-thin neck with little thickness variation from low to high frets, and the Venetian cutaway design makes it easy to play even around the 15th fret.
The nut width is 44 mm, the 12th fret width is 55 mm, and the space between each string is wide and gently curved.
The frets are slightly narrower and stiffer, allowing for flexible fingering.
In order to accommodate playing with the thumb on the 6th string, the space between the 6th and 1st strings has been left unchanged, but the strings have been moved about 1 mm toward the bass side, making it difficult for the 1st string to fall off the frets, another feature of the S series.
This is one of the features of the S series.
