The boost provides a subtle compression feel reminiscent of the warmth of human skin, adding a lustrous and presence to the original sound. The operational amplifier ICs used in this unit are also available in several types, with the popular RC4558P (Malaysian chip) being used in this model. Compared to models equipped with the JRC4558D (with a smooth tone), which focuses on the mid-range, this model has a rougher, heavier sound, allowing players to achieve unique expressions.
