Since its launch in 1977, HEADWAY has continued to reign as one of Japan's leading acoustic brands.
This time we would like to introduce a rare model HD-515 that was produced around 1980. There is no information left about this model, and we are happy to be able to introduce it to you.
Dreadnought model with spruce veneer top and rosewood veneer. Gold tuners and diamond inlays on the fingerboard indicate that this is a higher-end model. The model also has a combination of a beckoned pickguard and herringbone that gives it both a luxurious and authentic feel.
I played one E chord and was amazed at its large volume. It is a volume I have never experienced before. When I played it with a thicker pick, the sound was too loud and disjointed, so I tried playing it with a thinner pick, and the shimmering and deep rosewood bass that I look for in an acoustic guitar came out pleasantly. It also shows its charm in fingerstyle.
You will want to play it in a large studio or in an open space such as a park. It is one that will impress you with its sound.
