Martin / 2017 D-35

A recent model D-35 is now in stock.

This is one made in 2017.

The following year, the bracing will be changed to forward-shifted for the 2018 version, but this one has standard-shifted non-scalloped X-bracing. It also features a black pickguard.

This is a specification change for 2018, but while the D-28 has moved to open back tuners and herringbone binding, the D-35's purfling is still multi-striped and the pegs are still closed gear, which shows that the D-35 is considering the specifications of the era in which it was created.

As for the sound, the center of gravity feels just right, and the tone is not disjointed, giving the impression of a clean, fresh tone with a light touch. It is very easy to play and comfortable to the ear.

There is a crack repair on the lower right side of the body top, but it has been glued and partially painted, and has been beautifully reworked to the extent that it cannot be seen unless you shine a light on it and look closely. There is no problem with the strength.

The playing condition is also perfect as the neck angle has been adjusted/refretted after arrival at our store.
The sound potential has been maximized.

- The neck has been angled/fretted and is straight with no chatter or clogging issues.

- Saddle protrusion: approx. 3.0mm-3.5mm
- Nut and saddle replaced (cow bone)/fretboard replaced/crack repaired on lower right side of body top (glued/painted repair*no reinforcement)
