[Overview]
Vintage alto saxophone ( /BUESCHER), Aristocrat 2, commonly known as the Big B model. Lacquer finish (re-lacquered). Body plug missing (replaced with substitute rubber). Serial number 30xxx7. Made in 1945. Accessories: Used fiber semi-hard case (shows wear, includes one strap/shows wear and damage).
[Condition]
Re-lacquered.Repairs made to dents on bell back, U-tube back, and body back. Minor dent repair mark on left neck side. Lacquer finish loss on keys, strap hook mount area, U-tube, bell, neck sides, etc. (No major accident history like pull-down on neck). Fully overhauled and adjusted: all keys disassembled & cleaned inside/outside, all pads (CHANU plastic boosters), springs, corks, and felts replaced.

The Bushier Aristocrat Big B model that colored the saxophone section of Duke Ellington's orchestra during the swing jazz era. It was the favorite model of Johnny Hodges, the star soloist of Ellington's orchestra at the time, and was also used by a young Sonny Rollins. Alongside CONN, it was highly popular among professional players in the American jazz scene at the time.Although it shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, it has been meticulously cleaned inside and out, and has undergone an overhaul with all pads replaced. You can rest assured that it will serve you well for many years to come.
