The "D-28", the standard and the pinnacle of acoustic guitars.
Vintage" is a word that can be heard everywhere nowadays, but in the case of Martin, the movement started in the 1970s and 1980s.
The HD-28, which was added to the lineup in 1976, featured the herringbone decorations used on the Golden Era,
In the 1980s, Tokai Gakki, the Japanese distributor at the time, introduced the HD-28 Custom Pre War Reissue, a model that more closely resembled the vintage specifications of the HD-28.
In 1984, the HD-28V model was introduced.
Herringbone and diamonds-and-squares fingerboard inlays, butter bean type tuners, tortoiseshell pickguard, and so on, all of these features are indicative of a return to vintage.
The construction also includes a long saddle, V-shaped neck, forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, and other features,
The design of the guitar is directly related to the sound, and is a must-have for vintage lovers.
This particular guitar was made in 2010.
The spruce used for the top has a wide grain on the outside, which becomes tighter toward the center. The elegant horizontal grain is also present, giving it a wonderful appearance.
The impression of the tone is a sharp sound with a fast response on strong strokes, and a solid core sound on fingerstyle fingerboards, with each string output in good balance, which is very excellent.
Since it is now out of production, it is expected that its distribution will also decrease in the future.
