1997 Warwick Thumb Bass 4 Bolt-on, handcrafted by German craftsmen.
The Thumb Bass was Warwick's first project as a custom bass maker, and it remains the company's most representative model to this day. The body is made of Oban Cole, which produces a clear bass tone and a crisp sound with a good high frequency range. It is equipped with J-type pickups, the most popular type of Warwick bass, for low noise and wide range. The body is compact and ergonomically designed to fit the body. The original bridge, which has a strong structure and can be finely adjusted, has a sustain block embedded in the body under the bridge, which transmits the string vibration directly to the body. This bolt-on model is characterized by its excellent sound rise, which cannot be experienced with a through-neck.
Neck and electrical system have been maintained by our repairman. String height has been set at about 1.4mm on the 12th floor. Parts have been disassembled and cleaned.
