The legendary LuciteBass guitar with unmatched presence!
Designed by Dan Armstrong for Ampeg, the Lucite guitar. Produced for only a very short period from 1969 to 1971, its transparent body radiates an intense presence.
"Lucite" refers to the acrylic resin used for the body, producing a unique resonance unlike wood. The neck is maple with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. It features a short scale with 24 frets.
Characterized by the hard, long-sustaining sound typical of an acrylic body, yet tonally it offers a warm, woody sound. It produces a punchy sound, yet lacks unnecessary overtones, resulting in a clean, crisp tone. It's intriguing, yet surprisingly easy to handle. Despite the wooden bridge, the string height is about 2.0mm, making playability excellent!
※Neck and electronics have been maintained by our repairman and are in good condition ※Action is set to approximately 2.0mm at the 12th fret ※Parts have been disassembled and cleaned
