"How do I carry my trumpet and flugelhorn?"
I, Nakamura, have introduced more than 3,000 instrument cases to you in the past seven years, but I am still searching for a better one...every day.
This is surely an eternal problem for mankind (trumpeters), and it will be very difficult to find a case that perfectly meets all the requirements.
Well, there is one important thing to consider when choosing an instrument case.
That is the size of the instrument, the size of the flugelhorn.
In fact, flugelhorns are made by different manufacturers with different bell sizes and windings, so there are some that will fit in the case and some that will not.
For example, Yamaha, a typical compact flugelhorn, has a bell diameter of 152mm, and the distance from the top of the bell to the bottom of the instrument is 240mm.
On the other hand, the flugelhorn manufactured by Queen Brass has the same bell diameter but is wound more loosely, so it requires 280 mm.
I bought the instrument without checking it carefully, but it didn't fit...
