Walk on

Do you remember when you were in elementary school?

More than imagining your future self.

what to have for dinner this evening

was more important than what the

The first step in anything is very simple. However, when it comes to continuing to walk and not giving up on your dream, it is not so easy.

Age.

I wonder if it is because of my "age".

>> Latest Arrivals of Vintage Drums

If you look at the instruments listed on our "Premium Selections" page
you will see that the majority of them are electric guitars and acoustic guitars.

However

Wind and percussion instruments

have equally rare vintage instruments.
We wanted to introduce them to you with the same understanding of their value as other vintage instruments, so we published this article in Player magazine.
photoThis time, I would like to introduce a Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone and a Radic snare made in the 1920s.

If I continue to use only guitars, I may run out of ideas, but drums and saxophones will allow me to vary the vectors of ideas.

Previously, we had been thinking of various scenes using guitar hard cases, but when we saw these cases, we were absolutely stunned.

They are just square boxes..."

We can easily recognize a guitar even if it is a case, but... this is no good.

But it would be boring to take out the main body of the instrument. As I was thinking about it, one of them said to me, "I don't know....

How about a stick?

Oh, I see.

A drumstick reminds you of a snare?
Mm, that's a great idea. And what about the saxophone?

Then the saxophone would be the mouthpiece?

Oh, I see.

The mouthpiece reminds you of a saxophone?
Hey, you know what? You know what, Player magazine readers...

photoA confidential meeting like that? After a few hours, maybe even a few minutes, of such a confidential meeting, a sharp idea called "Vertical Whistle" was proposed, and we all turned in the same direction at once.

The idea of a vertical whistle was not a stick, but a branch of a tree.

We should use a tree branch....

How about elementary school students on their way home from school sticking to the guardrail with a tree branch?

If you blow a vertical whistle next to them, it's perfect.

Three heads can work together.

photoThe saxophone players who are active in the professional music scene today also play the same way.
I am sure that even today's professional saxophonists must have started out playing the vertical flute while sniffing their nose.

Even a drummer who is said to be a god must have been scolded when he was a child for knocking down a fence at a house along his way to school with a branch he had picked up.

Have we not forgotten the dreams we had long ago?

I imagined the composition with such a message in mind.

Then I started to look for a place to shoot, elementary school students to perform, and a vertical flute.

I wondered if today's elementary school students play the vertical flute.

That's a curious statement.

Recently, there have been changes that would have been unthinkable in our time, such as the two days off a week and teachers being bullied by students....

Soon after, the two elementary school students asked a friend's child to be their target.

They asked him to treat them to some delicious food.

And the parents had detailed orders. Shorts, shirt, hat, and school bag. If possible, I'd like to look like a country boy...but I guess that's impossible.

After confirming that there was a vertical whistle, I put them in the back seat and set off to shoot. As we were driving to the site, which we had researched beforehand, the two in the back started arguing with their brothers.

photoI left them alone for a while, but it started to escalate a bit, so I gave them a warning.

I told them, "Don't fight, you two good boys.

I told him gently, but he showed no sign of stopping. On the contrary, he started punching me quite hard.

This is not good!

It would be a disaster if a child in someone's house got hurt.

Next time, I'll try to be a little more forceful.

「ぐおるあ〜おめ〜ら〜黙って聞いてりゃギャーギャー騒ぎおって〜」

I came back to myself and realized that I had been scolding my own child in the same way. (Delete this part)

In the meantime, we arrived at the site.
While I was dressing the children, I picked up a suitable branch from the neighborhood. I handed them the branch and posed for a picture.

There was no guardrail, so I let them gently flatten the netting and had another person stand beside them to adjust the angle.

As soon as I did that, another sibling rivalry broke out.

I was so disappointed,

"Bash! Ah!

A tree branch broke.

「ぐおるあ〜」となりかけたが、ちょうど二本になってスティックと同じになったので良しとした。

Can you see one sticking out of the side of my school bag?
That is one of the broken branches.

We managed to finish the photo shoot without incident, and as promised, we went to a sushi restaurant on the way home, which the children wanted to eat.

My brother said.

photoThree pieces of salmon!

Triple salmon? That's a good one.

My brother says.

"Two tuna!"

You guys know your stuff.

And then my brother goes further.

"Three salmon!"

You! All you have is salmon!

My brother goes, "Uncle, 2 octopuses, no rust! "Uncle, two octopuses without the rust!"

Do what you want...

It seemed that there was no room for adults, so I left him alone and let him eat them.

That's amazing, elementary school kids.

After that, I delivered the children home safely, thanked them, and parted ways with them.

You never know with elementary school kids these days...
