So lame...The Secret Behind Foot’s Goto’s Glowing Guitar! Is Tokyo 03’s Toyomoto Banned!?: Godtan
Speaking of that much-talked-about glowing guitar,
it’s a fully customized version based on Goto-san’s main guitar—the square-shaped Gretsch G6138 Bo Diddley, which is a familiar sight in the “Serious Singing” segments!!
I think a lot of you are curious about it, so let me give you a quick introduction!

Whoa—it’s so bright!!! It really shines.
It uses ultra-small RGB chip LEDs. Since each LED has its own IC, you can do more than just change the overall color—you can also create gradients and flowing effects.

Believe it or not, LEDs of this type have only just started appearing in the last few years.
Previously, there were no LEDs thin enough to be embedded within the limited width of a guitar’s cell binding that also featured an IC capable of this level of dynamic control. This is the ultimate technological highlight of this guitar.
So, if anyone out there is thinking, “I’ve done something like this before!”—that’s either a lie or a misunderstanding.
Supervised by Mr. Goto, we paid meticulous attention to every detail. This “Lecherous Chair Gold” color scheme, which generated a lot of buzz, is the culmination of the craftsmen’s sweat and tears—we actually sprayed numerous samples, adjusting the glitter and metallic tones, and had them compared side-by-side before making the final selection.
This is the “Lecherous Chair Gold.”
If you’re a paint enthusiast, you’ll probably think, “Wow, this is a painstaking paint job!”It has much more depth than just a “Skeve Chair.”
If there were actually a Skeve Chair with this finish, it would command a hefty price.

The pickups and other parts have also been replaced, resulting in a look and sound completely different from the original Bo Diddley.
The gold on the top catches the eye, but the sides, back, and back of the neck—which were originally black—have also been repainted in a deep brown.
Additionally, due to the relocation of the knobs and the pickup changes, various modifications have been made to the hidden wood sections as well.
These are specifications crafted with uncompromising attention to detail.
Features like the LED controller are also hidden out of sight.
The cute little switch next to the toggle switch turns the LEDs on and off.
I was controlling it remotely during the actual performance, but it’s also set up so you can operate it right from your fingertips.
Just like the lyrics say, “If you touch that spot, she’ll start to shine.” It’s amazing.
LEDs run all the way around the perimeter, from the neck to the body. They’re securely embedded.
Even the seams at the joints and other areas are connected one by one with hand-wired connections. Since chip LEDs are fragile and have low heat resistance, they’ve been carefully embedded and securely protected.
It’s powered by—believe it or not—a portable battery. You can use it while charging.

As shown on TV, the inlay has been re-embedded. Instead of a sticker, the “GoToH” logo is firmly inlaid using pearl material.
An extraordinary attention to detail.

So, those were the details on Mr. Goto’s custom guitar!!!!
