Fender Japan JV Series

 

The first lineup of the commemorative JV series, released in 1982 as the "VINTAGE SERIES," consisted of 14 models: 8 electric guitars and 6 electric basses.

Of these, the upper class ST57-115, ST62-115, TL'52-95, PB'57-95, PB'62-98, and JB'62-115 feature USA-made parts (pickups, pickguard, controls) and lacquer finish. The middle class Strat ST57-85 and ST62-85 feature USA-made pickups and lacquer finish. Strat ST57-65 and ST62-65 have USA pickups, although they are lower class models.

 

The higher-end models ST57-115, ST62-115, TL'52-95, PB'57-95, PB'62-98, and JB'62-115 have USA-made parts (pickups, pickguard, controls) and lacquer finish. The middle class Strat ST57-85 and ST62-85 feature USA-made pickups and lacquer finish. Strat ST57-65 and ST62-65 have USA pickups, although they are lower class models.

The "JV Serial" is a serial number consisting of the letters "JV" and a five-digit number. The "Made In Japan" logo on the head is a unique feature of the period. However, this was not well received and was later changed to the side of the neck joint.

Also, if you look at the neck pocket, you can see stamps (Ⓐ, Ⓑ, Ⓒ) on the pocket for each grade.

The "115" sticker on the back of the head, which represents the price of 115,000 yen at that time, is still firmly in place.

The tight alder grain tightens the sound and produces a well-balanced vintage sound that is not limited to the mid-range.
It is a beautiful instrument with no paint burns or noticeable damage, and has a good sound, and is recommended for players as well as collectors.

Fiesta Red color is very vivid.
There is a slight darkening on the fingerboard, but there are almost no noticeable flaws, and it is in miraculous mint condition!
The guitar is equipped with red bobbin USA pickups, which were common in the early days.

'82 st62-85 / frd (jv12068)

This is a middle class ST62-85, a '62 model with a slab-applied rose fretboard.
It is equipped with early red bobbin USA pickups. Lacquer coating is applied.
The paint is not burned, the nut has been replaced, and the frets have been adjusted and fretted, so the playability is good.
The bright color is sure to catch the eye on stage!

This model is in good condition with relatively little damage to the paint.
Like the original 52 Telecaster, it has a Bakelite pickguard, and each screw is a minus screw.
