Fender Japan Custom Edition

 

The Custom Edition Team, a craft section of EXTRAD, was responsible for the development of Fender Japan's various possibilities in the development of sought-after woods, special coloring, high-quality hardware, etc. Since it was the craft section of EXTRAD, this Custom Edition Team was probably formed from 1986 until 1997, when Fender Japan's production was transferred from Fujigen to Dyna Gakki. The team produced many vintage style models, including anniversary models, as well as models with special specs.

 

'94 ST54-150AS "40th Anniversary" (#S002916)

Limited production of the 40th Anniversary model of the 1954 Stratocaster.
Equipped with DiMarzio Blue Velvet pickups that faithfully reproduce the vintage sound!

Decal is attached as a proof of "Custom Edition".

The matt-finish body is made of light ash, with an oil-finished neck and an aluminum pickguard, which was used for a very short period of time on the Strauts. The body was finished in anodized gold at the time, but this model has a white baked finish. The gorgeous finish is befitting of an anniversary model.

35th Anniversary model since the birth of the 1957 Stratocaster.
High quality light weight ash is used for the body, and high quality flame & bird's eye maple is used for the neck.

'91-'92 ST57 Order "Custom Edition" Shop Order Model (#L021449)

The body is made of maple top and mahogany back.
This is a rare model with a maple top and mahogany back. It is full of gorgeous and special atmosphere!

This is a '62 model, middle class ST62-85 with slab-applied rose fretboard.
It is equipped with early red bobbin USA pickups. Lacquer coating is applied.
The paint is not burned, the nut has been replaced, and the frets have been adjusted and fretted, so the playability is good.
The bright color is sure to catch the eye on stage!

'83 tl52-65 / bld (#jv07979)

This model is in good condition with relatively little damage to the paint.
Like the original 52 Telecaster, it has a Bakelite pickguard, and each screw is a minus screw.
The moderately burnt blonde color makes it a good choice for players.
