苅部のちょっと気になる一本!! 第一弾 - TC楽器 - TCGAKKI

The first bottle, "heerby", is a little known bottle. Japan Vintage

Thank you very much for visiting THE used music shop, "One of a kind".

My name is Karibe, and I am in charge of the guitar/effectors section.
I am a bassist, but I am in charge of the guitar section.♪

There are many special features on musical instruments on the websites of various music stores, but in this corner, I would like to introduce a guitar that caught my attention. I would like to introduce a guitar that caught my eye.

This is because we specialize in used guitars! I think I can introduce you to some of the more unusual guitars we have in stock!♪

First of all, we would like to introduce to you some guitars that are known only to those in the know. Hidden Japan Vintage!♪

What do you think of when you hear the word "Japan Vintage"?

Greco Tokai Aria Pro II YAMAHA

...etc...

There are many famous Japanese machines in the world, but the Telecaster caught my attention, and it just so happens that it is the star of this shipment,

I was interested in Telecaster guitars, and this one caught my eye.♪

First of all, what is a Heerby?

It is a company founded by the late Mr. Kazuyuki Kasuga, the general secretary of the former Democratic Socialist Party of Japan, called Kasuga Gakki Seizo Seizo, which originally manufactured acoustics, banjos, and violins, and sold electric guitars/basses under the brand name "Heerby".
In Japan, they released guitars under the "Heerby" brand, but in the U.S., they sold guitars under the "Electra" brand, which attracted attention as high-end guitars (apparently).
The origin of the brand name is a reading of "Kasuga" of Kasuga Gakki, which was changed from "Haru" and "Hi" to "Harbi" and "Heerby" to read the letters.

High quality, perfection, and sound seemed to be the selling point, and the products included, according to the catalogs of the time, copy models of Fender, Gibson, and other high street brands, as well as Rickenbacker copy models.
In addition, the manufacturer of "Gaban," which was sold by Fukuhara Gakki from 1972 to 1974, is said to be Kasuga Gakki Manufacturing, and around 1974, Kasuga Gakki sold its own brand "Ganson," and also released "RK Herby" in cooperation with Roland, which was independent from Ace-tone at that time, but in 1976, the They also sold acoustic guitars under the brand name of "The KASUGA" around 1977, and changed the brand name several times, including the release of original models.

So much for the explanation of Kasuga Gakki,

Let's take a look at the guitars you are interested in!

The model name is "Heerby "Excellent Type-1000"".

Let's compare it with Fender's "72 Telecaster", although they are slightly different in time.♪

Body

Neck - Skunk Stripe

Neck Size

Heerby.
Width 42mm and thickness 25mm at 1st fret side
Width at the 12th fret side is 52mm and thickness is 25mm.

Fender
Width 42mm and thickness 23mm at 1st fret side
Width at the 12th fret side is 52mm and thickness is 23mm.

The actual feel of the fretboard is not extremely thick, but it gives the impression of being thicker than recent Telecasters. Although it is a little thicker, it is easy to play with a thickness that does not make you feel uncomfortable.♪

Of course, the skunk stripe has been reproduced.

Head

The shape of the head is a little different from the tip, etc., but the overall silhouette is close.♪

Peg

The button shape of the pegs is trapezoidal compared to Fender's, and they are equipped with early Gotho pegs!

Body

The body is made of Sen plywood while Fender uses Ash.

Back of the body

The back of the body shows the parts that pass through the strings, but Fender's parts are rounded while Heerby's are angular.

Joint plate

The joint plate is a little smaller than the Fender one, and it looks a little unreliable.

Bridge

The bridge is, hmmm, totally different!

The Fender bridge has two strings per piece, but this one has one string per piece, and each piece can be fine-tuned. It is a tough piece!♪

Pickup selector / Knob / End pin

Pickup selector and knob are similar.♪

The endpin has a slightly thicker and flatter surface that touches the body.

choice

The pickups were the original single coils, but they were sold before I could compare the sound or examine them more closely. I am happy and sad at the same time,,,(T T)

I hope it will be used by a good owner for a long time (;_;)/~~~~.

As for the sound, it is just my opinion, but it is actually a solid, thick, coherent Telecas sound that is as good as the original!

From the person in charge

This is a model before realistic copy models such as Tokai and Greco were released, so the originality of the brand can be seen in the smallest details.

Although the brand name is not so well-known, Heerby's quality, copy quality, and sound, are truly worthy of being called "domestic vintage".
Don't underestimate them just because they are copies!
Heerby and other domestic guitars were made of good wood.

If you are looking for a guitar that is different from the others and has a certain flavor, you are in the right vintage market. If you are looking for a guitar with a unique flavor, how about a Japanese-made guitar that you can get at a reasonable price in the vintage market where prices have been rising in recent years?

I am looking at this from my personal point of view, so the contents may be a little biased (*_*;)
I am still an amateur and ignorant about guitars, etc., but I have gathered information from materials, catalogs, and personal websites on the Internet.

I am still an amateur in my knowledge of guitars, etc., but I have created this page based on information from materials, catalogs, and personal websites on the Internet.
So, I hope I can continue to create this corner with the help of our customers. m(__)m

Will there really be a next time!
I am writing this article with a sense of dread that the president might erase this project at any moment.

This is a short section, but I would like to update it as soon as I get even a slightly unusual guitar!♪
