ベース担当オダの日常奮闘記#3 - TC楽器 - TCGAKKI

Hello, my name is Bass This is Oda in charge of Bass!

It's already the end of March.
Since the beginning of this year, we have been preparing a new lineup of MGBass products for sale.

Six new pieces are now available for sale, and I hope you have all had a chance to take a look at them.

Actually, these six are special models that TCGAKKI ordered with his choice of wood and electronics!

Here is a list that briefly introduces each of them!
This is all my subjective introduction, but here I would like to talk even more closely about some more personal points of interest.

There is a special announcement at the end, and I hope you will read it all the way to the end!

First of all, the most "NANICOLE!" shape here!
Extreman headless natural quilted 5

There are not many makers of headless instruments, so it is inevitable that not many people have ever had a chance to play with one.
At first, I thought it was too short to get used to playing it sitting down, but when I tried it standing up with the strap attached, I was surprised at all the good things about it: good balance, easy handling, and (incidentally) it fits in my guitar case.

Of course, the headless effect is also present in the sound.
The headless itself originally has the common sense of "tight and tight sound," but the ash body and ebony fingerboard make the sound even clearer and crisper with better sound separation.
The quilted maple wood grain is also very beautiful, and I am smiling at the fact that the combination with the ebony fingerboard was a good choice.

Next is another Extreman without a headless fretboard!
Extreman 5 Strings

Out of the six pieces in this exhibition, only the above two have the same body shape.
MGBass has a wide variety of models, and we wanted to bring as many as possible to Japan, so we selected as many models as possible so that there would be as few as possible.
Among them, the Extreman body shape is the most playable and has the most impactful looks, so we ordered two of them, one headless and one not headless.

MGBass is a natural-colored instrument, and we wanted a bright color in the lineup, so we chose padouk as the top material!
It was a great decision because of its bright, yet natural reddish color! I am looking forward to seeing how it will change over time.

It has a front single and rear hum PU configuration, and while it has a basically hard sound, I have the impression that the wide range of Aguilar's range allows for a wide range of sound makeup!

This is the third Infinity in stock!
Infinity 5 Strings

Among the arrivals last year, Infinity had two 4-stringers.
This was the first model we encountered at the NAMM SHOW, and for us, it is the most impressive model in the MGBass lineup.

We were like, "We know how good Infinity is, so we want a 5-string too! Then I want a 5-string too! So we ordered this one!

We chose spotted maple for the top and gold pegs and bridge for the looks.
The knobs are made of wood like other Infinity guitars, so even though the pegs and bridge are made of gold, they don't look too fancy.

The ash body and maple fretboard are the most obvious sound you can imagine from the combination of woods.
It has an organic, crisp and punchy sound, a character that is hard to find in the so-called high-end Bass category.
This is the Mid-Fi sound. (link)This is the greatest appeal of MGBass! This is the one I felt.

It's been a long time, so I will introduce the other models in the next issue!

Now, let me say..! I have an announcement for those of you who have read this far!

I have just completed a video of a band session using the Extreman headless natural quilted 5 that I introduced in the first article! 👏.

The bassist is,

What a surprise,

I'm sorry to be presumptuous,

I, Oda!

I usually play only 4 strings, so I practiced 5 strings hard. (Laughs)

By the way, the guitar I am using is TMG Guitar, of which we are an authorized distributor!

I recorded not only this one song, but also other songs I played, so I hope you will wait for further updates!
