Ludwig has attracted many drummers for more than 100 years since its establishment in 1909, and many players have been using Ludwig drums, from Vintage to current models. Some of their products are recognized as "masterpieces" of excellence. The snare we are introducing here is one of the most highly regarded (in terms of sound character, looks, and shell construction) heavy brass shell snares from the 1910s to the 1930s. Although they are not often seen on the stage, they have been active in the recording scene in the United States. The first three snares in particular are rare and hard to find, even in condition (even if you search all over the world). Therefore, some of them are not on display in the store as they are treasured collections. We are sure that the previous owner had a hard time when he had to part with them. Collector's item in excellent mint condition. One of our treasured collection. Black nickel-treated brass shell with scroll pattern engraving. The strainer is equipped with a "338". The head is of course made of cowhide leather, and it also comes with a rare hard case from the era.

～ Ludwig Triumphal Model / Super Ludwig ~ circa 1929
This is a "Triumphal Model" with 24k gold plating on all surfaces. This model is also very rare, and only about 4 of them have been found worldwide. The cowhide head is signed "William F. Ludwig Jr. This is one of our treasured collection.
~ circa 1927-30 Ludwig Ludwigold / Super Ludwig ~.
Ludwigold" is a special gold painted brass top (like a Les Paul gold top on a guitar). The strainer is equipped with a Super Strainer. The head is made of cowhide leather and comes with a rare hard case from the period. This is a treasured gem of our store that has been kept in excellent condition.
～ Ludwig Black Beauty ~ circa 1928-34
This is the most famous "Black Beauty" among the many Vintage Ludwig models. Black nickel-treated brass shell with floral pattern carving. Professional strainers are used. The sound is great and can only be obtained in vintage condition.
~ circa 1926-31 Ludwig Deluxe W/ Heater Assembly ~.
This is a Deluxe with a heater installed inside. It was used to dry the leather when the head was made of cowhide. The shell is a black nickel-treated brass shell with a floral pattern engraving. The size is 15" x 4".
~ circa 1923-25 Ludwig Deluxe ~.
Deluxe with scroll pattern. The size is 14" x 5" and the lugs are 8 lugs. The strainer is mounted with a "338". The fact that it has existed for more than 86 years is a miracle in itself.
～ Ludwig Stipel Gold Model / Super Ludwig ~ circa 1927
It looks like a "Ludwigold" at a glance, but it is a special "Stipel Gold" that existed as an option (like Ludwigold, this one is also very rare). This is a very rare item, and probably only a few people could own it at that time. It is one that exists in the present day after passing through the ages.
～ Ludwig Black Beauty / Super Ludwig ~ circa 1932-1934
This is a popular 6.5" size shell with Super strainer. The silver shining hardware gives it a unique and fearless appearance. The Heater Plug", a remnant from the days when leather heads were used, is also present, making it a very interesting piece of history.
