[About AR Resonance mouthpiece]
I often hear the name recently, but I heard that what kind of mouthpiece is it? You can choose a cup and back bore, but I don't know much about it ... How many people are there?
Please be assured. If you read this articleYou are from today Ar Resonance MasterThere is no doubt.
First of all, let's take a rough explanation of the overall characteristics.
・ It can handle all genres such as brass band, jazz, pops, etc.
・ The sound of the treble becomes thicker and articulation becomes easier
・ Relaxed bright sound
The high range will be easier ... it's a dream -like word, but it's one of the words that many customers who sell at our shop and switch from general mouthpieces.
[Let's choose the top immediately]
・ The rim shape is common to all cups. Changing the depth of the cup does not feel uncomfortable.
・ It is a rim shape with a slightly softer mouthpiece than BACH mouthpiece. Bach users will not feel uncomfortable first.
・ There are wide rims and flat rim options. Widrim is a rim with a wide and slightly rounded rim like a bobrieves, a jardinelli -like, and a fluttered rim is a flat shape like a silky. Most people prefer normal rims, so it's a good idea to try a normal type first.
● Narrow down the size
VL (equivalent to Bach 1)
L (equivalent to Bach 1-1/4)
ML (equivalent to Bach 1-1/2)
M (equivalent to Bach 3)
MS (equivalent to Bach 7)
S (equivalent to Bach 10-1/2)
VS (equivalent to Bach 15)
XS (equivalent to Bach 18)
Eh ... I don't usually use bach? SoThis tableplease look at.
M is often preferred for those who use the fifth equivalent, but it is also possible to order the intermediate rim size called "M-MS" for custom order.
● Choose depth
A, B, C, D, E, Lead, Lead Plus becomes shallow.
C is the most standard cup, and most of you usually use this cup first.
B, on the other hand, has a soft sound, but is excellent in response to the high range despite the deep cup. Conversely, a slightly shallow D is a bright sound, but it is not enough to be used in brass band. If you need to do all -rounds from the mid -range to the high range, this cup must help you play.
In addition, the depth of E ~ Lead Plus is popular among the lead players of the big band. For those who use shallow cups, many people feel that "E is a high range, but still has plenty of depth."
As a comparison of the depths that you often ask, the D cup is slightly deeper than the Bobries M cup, and the LEAD PLUS cup is equivalent to the ES cup.
When combined with the cup size above, it is written as "MSC, M Lead, MLB".
It is almost the same as it is decided if you come this far.
● There are options for the material ...
There are seven types: brass, bronze, buffalo, titanium, stainless steel, damaskel, and nickel.
If you get lost, bronze is preferred if you want the sound and thickness in the sound.
[Brass] It is the most commonly used material in modern mouthpieces and is familiar. It is a light response and a flexible tone.
[Bronze] This model made of Rin bronze is as popular as a brass. It is a cheerful, quick response, and "sounds well". The sound is thick and the sense of stability increases.
[Buffalo] It is a very light and quick material that refers to the corners of buffalo. When it blows gently, it is a bright and crisp sound when it blows into a warm sound like a wood.
Compared to the [Titanium] brass, the width of the dynamic range is wider and the direction of the sound is clearer. This is a good option for those who have metal allergies.
[Stainless steel] The response is slow and features a muffled articulation. The dead sound is suitable for acoustic sounds such as jazz combo and have a unique sound.
[Damascus cheel] sound is similar to the stainless steel above. The characteristic pattern is made by combining two materials with different hardness. The price is expensive, but it is definitely a material that you will never see elsewhere.
[Nickel] Sound with good response and strong directivity. Because the outline of the sound is easy to come out, it matches the combination of shallow cups.
[Next is the key ... Choose a back bore]
Many people have noticed the importance of back bore since Ar Resonance appeared.
It has an important role in controlling the wind and sound, such as the spread of sounds and how to breathe in. The biggest advantage of two -piece specifications is that it is easy to choose what suits you.
Some people wonder, "The back bore has the same appearance, but what is different?"
The mouthpiece has a shape that gradually spreads from the entrance to the exit, but the angle is different. The tightness of the angle, the higher the straightness of the sound, and the more resistance. The more you open, the better your breath and the more the sound will spread and brightness.
Generally, tight back bore is often used to shallow cups, and open back bore often matches with medium to deep cups, but some people prefer the opposite settings due to the sound and favorite brass band.
● Type of back bore
AR offers five types of back bore from tight people to Lead, XS, S, M, L.
In our shop, S or M back bore is the most popular. M -back bore is a model that can feel a well -balanced point of excellent points of AR mouthpiece pitch, sound, and control. S -back bore is a slightly compact brass band, but it is popular with less discomfort when shifting from a general mouthpiece.
In addition, there are two types of back bore, Classcal M and Classical L. Although it is not only for classic, it will be a clear sound and density sound by changing the internal shape in detail, and it is very popular with brass band and orchestra players.
Although there is a difference in resistance from the normal model, those who prefer S -back bore tend to select Classical M and Classical L for those who prefer M back bore.
The back bore is one kind of brass. For those who are already tired, it is good news.
[It's a little more!]
● Slot size
You can select from#21 (4.0mm) and#19 (4.2mm). In AR, take the value of the millimeter and write it as "40 throat, 42 throat". Many of the sold in Japan are 40 slots, so it's a good idea to try this throat first. You can select at the top and back bore, and basically use the same number.
There are four types: Standard, Medium, Bullet, and Heavy. Bullet and Heavy are also heavyweights to balance. If you use a general weight instrument, you should be able to feel the excellent point of AR mouthpiece when you start with Standard. Except for Standard, it will be basically custom -made, so please feel free to contact us.
Silver, gold and pink gold are available. It is good to make a different color with the top and back bore, and if you unify it with pink, it will look very cute. If you end up with a plating finish, it can be a point where the feeling of brass and tone can change, but that is another opportunity ...
that's all. Thank you for reading.
