TC Instruments by the Numbers

Ratio of male to female customers

We have the impression that most of our electric guitar/electric bass customers are male. In recent years, due to the influence of manga and anime, more and more women are starting to play electric guitars and basses. In wind instruments, there are many people who belong to orchestras, etc., and the ratio of male to female customers is about the same.

Age Range of Customers

Electric guitar/electric bass players are mostly in their 30s to 50s, and many of them started playing due to the band boom, while acoustic guitar players are older.
Wind instruments are used by a wide range of customers, from students to older people, perhaps because many of them are involved in club activities or in bands.

Company Occupation

Each sales floor has a dedicated staff member (specialist) for the instrument he/she is in charge of. In addition to sales staff, we also have store managers/leaders and repair staff. We also have staff who support TC instruments behind the scenes in administrative positions such as accounting, public relations, planning, etc.

Staff Commuting Time

The average commute time is 50 minutes. Many staff members commute from Kanagawa, Saitama, and Chiba, as well as Tokyo, and most of them commute door-to-door within one hour. Compared to typical companies and firms, the start time of work is a little later, allowing for a slower commute and avoiding the rush hour congestion.
