by Nippon Gakki, is a historical treasure that cannot be overlooked when discussing the dawn of domestically produced acoustic guitars in Japan—and can even be called the origin of “Japan Vintage.”

Introduced in the early 1960s, this model is a masterpiece in which the passion and craftsmanship of Japanese artisans of that era—who strove for world-class standards through repeated trial and error—are evident in every detail.
It is a highly practical piece of
Although originally designed for steel strings, I decided to try it with nylon strings this time.
Even with nylon strings, it combines brightness with a deep, crystalline clarity, producing a distinct, bell-like resonance.

■ Historic Craftsmanship That Supported the Dawn of Japanese Musical Instrument Manufacturing
It is the culmination of an era—before the large-scale automation of today—when skilled artisans carefully assembled each instrument by hand, one by one.
The meticulous craftsmanship, imbued with the excitement of the period just before the Japanese guitar industry took flight onto the world stage, still exudes an overwhelming presence even now, more than half a century later.

■The Ultimate Mature Tone Woven from Ezo Spruce and Maple
Featuring a high-quality Ezo spruce top—a hallmark of that era—and maple sides and back with beautiful grain patterns.
Over half a century of immense aging has matured the wood, resulting in a unique, thunderous sound that modern guitars can never replicate—a sound where a powerful attack coexists with the rich, mature depth and clarity characteristic of vintage instruments.

■ Rugged Playability That Has Survived Harsh Conditions
Although it is a Japanese vintage guitar from over half a century ago, it has withstood Japan’s humid climate and maintains the toughness to be played to the fullest as a primary instrument even in today’s demanding live and recording environments.
Rather than resting solely on its historical value, its greatest appeal lies in its high practicality—the ability to directly convey the subtle nuances of the player’s fingertips without any loss.

It exudes an overwhelming aura that embodies the very history of Japanese-made guitars, combined with the ultimate vintage sound woven from over half a century of history.
This exceptional instrument, which masterfully balances historical value with immediate practicality on stage, is extremely rare on the market—making this a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Please
