Selmer tenor saxophone, early model SERIE III black lacquer, looks great on the live stage!
[Overview].
Selmer tenor saxophone, Serie 3 black lacquer finish with engraved pattern. Includes: genuine hard case, made in 1999. List price: 1,03,700 yen (Jubilee Serie 3)
[Condition.]
One owner has been taking good care of this unit since it was purchased new. There is a repair mark of a small dent on the side of the neck. Lacquer peeling seems to have occurred during repair, and nail polish has been applied. There is no neck pull-down. This was a period piece with no ring attached to the tip of the neck when it was shipped from the factory, but a gold-plated ring (genuine Selmer part) has been attached at our store.
All keys have been disassembled and cleaned, all tampos (using genuine CHANU domed metal resonator), corks and felts have been replaced, and overhauled and adjusted.
[Features and Attractiveness]
Serie 3 tenor was first released in 1997, so this is an early model. The additional gold-plated ring on the tip of the neck adds to the tone's cohesiveness, and even when the pedal is firmly pressed down, the sound is powerful without breaking down. This is probably the first and last chance to acquire an early Model 3 black lacquer tenor.
☆Okubo Wind Instrument Store handles the entire adjustment process in cooperation with Odagiri Workshop, a saxophone repair shop specializing in saxophones. Mr. Odagiri himself is in charge of the final balance adjustment.
