Chaki / P-100
Chaki, a long-established manufacturer in Kyoto since 1947
In the early days, the company was mainly engaged in the repair and manufacture of double basses.
Around 1960, they started manufacturing pick guitars, and one of the early members of the company was Mr. Shiro Tsuji, a famous builder in Japan.
It is very unique that they were making acoustic guitars that were more like Gibson guitars and round top guitars, while Martin dreadnought guitars were the most popular in the music scene at that time.
This P-100 is one of the guitars that seems to have been manufactured in the 70's.
Spruce top and maple body
Crisp sound with a characteristic midrange that can be recognized once stroked.
If you can get this sound with wound strings now, you can enjoy "that" sound even more if you use flatwound strings.
The neck condition has been adjusted by a professional repairman and is in good condition.
The neck is straight and the string height is set at 2.2mm on the 6th string and 1.7mm on the 1st string at 12F.
This is a guitar that you can enjoy even more with pickups.
