It has just been repaired and adjusted by the owner at a stringed instrument workshop in Tokyo, Japan in 2022. Repairs and adjustments include. Pegs adjusted, new tailpiece and chinstrap installed. Piece, soul post, and strings replaced.
Repaired two scratches on the top. Scratches and paint chips around the rim.

French violins were first produced by craftsmen who learned the techniques from Cremona, Italy, and the quality of each workshop is said to be relatively stable. GRANIER, which has just arrived in Japan, is thought to be the successor to a workshop that produced violins under the name BARBET & GRANIER before the 19th century.
