Built in 1864 in Germany.in Kassel, GermanyThis is a contra bassoon made by G. Mollenhauer, a historical woodwind instrument workshop founded in 1864 in Kassel, Germany. The contra bassoon is 55 years old, but it has been used infrequently, and there were two contras in the previous orchestra.Except for modern pieces such as "The Rite of Spring," in which both units are mobilized, the contra bassoon has been used almost exclusively in the orchestra. The condition of the instrument shows that it was owned as a reserve instrument except for modern pieces such as "The Rite of Spring" where both contras were mobilized. There are no noticeable scratches or damages, and there are no concerns about the aging of the key action. The instrument has been completely disassembled and overhauled, so it can be used for many years to come. You will not be able to find another one in this price range. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
