Kanstul, who was once the production manager at the company, together with his son Elden Benge and Donald Benge. Production began in the mid-1980s. This item is an early production model with the address from the old Benge era engraved on the bell.
The 6☆ bell is a lightweight specification, but this early production model was made with an especially thin bell, and the instrument's total weight is only 898 grams. If an extra-large bore sounds like a super-light body would make it hard to control because the breath is taken in all at once, this model, true to the old Benge direct lineage, allows you to control that breath with a compactly wrapped, easy-to-handle instrument. It offers a richly colorful, bright, and lustrous tone.
