This is a C rotary trumpet by bm Symphonic, a company renowned for making tubas and other large brass instruments. This trumpet was made in West Germany. This model seems to have followed the style of the traditional Dresden type rotary trumpet from the small bell with wide nickel trim and the narrow 11.00mm valve bore. The extreme feature is the whirling post (Heckel-Schnecken-Stütze), which is one of Heckel's designs. However, it does not have the light and soft character of the Heckel, but is characterized by clear pronunciation and a crisp, bright sound.
